We are empty-nesters who live in Virginia and have been semi-retired for several years.
We've purchased a travel trailer (Grand Design 22RBE), and have visited many states and a variety of campgrounds (private, state parks, Army COE parks).
Dave is an auto enthusiast who specializes in restoring classic cars. And now we are registered "rookies" who will compete in The Great Race 2024, a road rally from KY to ME!
Liz loves planning and documenting trips, here in the US and also abroad. She is Dave's navigator for The Great Race.

When we bought our RV, Liz thought it would be fun to journal our experiences online through some sort of a blog. She registered this domain late one night and didn't do a thing with it until nearly 2 years later.
As we came out of a pandemic, 'Hit The Road NOW!' seemed more appropriate than ever!
We hope to use this site to share our experiences and what we've learned along the way.

In 2021, we took a 5 week RV trip from Virginia to Phoenix and back via Texas and crossed a few National Parks off our list.
Recently, we've added 2 new tabs. One will show our preparation for and participation in The Great Race 2024 road rally. I plan to add video links and blog entries as we venture from KY to ME with over 100 classic cars.
A second tab provides information on Virginia State Parks we've visited with our RV. Our goal is to see them all!
